How to file forms W-2
W-2 forms must be submitted together with a W-3 to SSA no later that the 31st of January. The deadline is January 31 to give W-2 forms out to employees. The form W-3 is a transmission document that is used to consolidate all information from individual W-2 forms into a total that can be used by the SSA.
